OCTC’s commitment to dance, musical theatre, and theatre education for youth is constantly growing. OCTC staff members run theatre camps throughout the summer season and has a camp for every age. Along with our camps, OCTC has established a Junior Company that features area youth in several fully staged productions.

Frozen Jr

FROZEN JR Open to students in 3rd – 8th Grades as of Fall 2019

The enchanting modern classic from Disney is ready for your Broadway Junior stars! Frozen JR. is based on the 2018 Broadway musical, and brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage. The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production.
A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Frozen JR. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood.

FROZEN Cast Members must fit the below requirements:

-Be a student in 3rd – 8th Grade as of Fall 2019.
-Be able to commit to MOST rehearsals! No performer can miss the final week and must attend all productions.
-All roles will be assigned an understudy. Understudies will be given performances if performers miss too many rehearsals.
-Attend the auditions that will be held September 20 OR 21 OCTC (1501 West Ave).
-Prepare 32 bars or about 30 seconds of any musical theatre song. We will have a CD player and a piano accompanist. Make sure you bring sheet music if you plan to use the provided accompanist. Singing from the show is encouraged!

-Pay/Fundraise a $175 participation fee
-Cast Members are expected to sell ads for the program book and other costume related expenses.

Little Shop Of Horrors

Little Shop Of Horrors

A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years. The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” – after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!

Through theatre/improv games and scene work, student’s imaginations and creativity will soar! Students in our acting classes for kidz create characters, build confidence, learn basic theatre technique, build upon knowledge and make new friends along the way.

PRIVATE ACTING LESSONS

Experience one-on-one private acting lessons to perfect acting technique with trained instructors who have experience working to prepare for college auditions and school auditions. Develop personalized skills to make you a stronger, more confident performer. Private coaching can be generally technique based or targeted toward a specific role, monologue, and/or upcoming audition preparation.
