About The Show

A pop culture phenomenon comes to the musical stage in Schoolhouse Rock Live! The Emmy Award-winning 1970s Saturday morning cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math and more through clever, tuneful songs is making a small-screen comeback. Schoolhouse Rock Live! follows Tom, a nerve-wracked schoolteacher who is nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music, through such songs as “Just a Bill,” “Lolly, Lolly, Lolly” and “Conjunction Junction.”

The Ocean City Theatre Company is proud to announce that funding has been made possible in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts / Department of State, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Cape May County Board of County Commissioners through the Cape May County Division of Culture & Heritage. OCTC also extends its gratitude to the City of Ocean City for their support of live, family-friendly entertainment and welcoming the 2026 Children’s Series lineup back to the Ocean City Music Pier.
